Meeting participants will not see your video or any changes to your background while you are using the preview feature. If you want to add many custom background images all at once, there is a much quicker and easier method than using the Add new button within Microsoft Teams.

Microsoft Teams saves all custom background images to a special folder in your user profile. Due to this design, it is possible to add custom images directly to this folder. The next time you launch Teams, Teams will automatically recognize the images and make them available to use in the background settings menu. Launch Microsoft Teams. If Teams is already running, you will need to quit and re-launch Teams before it will recognize the new images. Quitting Teams is not the same as closing Teams.

To quit Teams on Windows, right-click the Teams icon in the notification area, and select Quit. The custom background images are now available in the Background settings menu within Teams, as shown below.
